EXHIBITION OPENING: Air from the Old Millennium An exhibition consisting of air, empty cans and your imagination OPENING: On the 15th of January at 5 pm we open the conceptual exhibition Air from the Old Millennium at The Danish Cultural Institute and you are more than welcome to stop by for a glass of wine! January is the month of Climate at the Danish Cultural Institute and the controversial and thought-provoking can project Air from the Old Millennium curated by Christine Fentz and Randi Schmidt, and produced by Secret Hotel, is perfect in connection to the climate debate. The idea for the can project was born out of the widespread Y2K hysteria, which dominated the Western world around the turn of the millennium from 1999 to 2000. The etiquettes on the exhibited cans are made by artists living in Denmark where they are commenting on the theme Air from the Old Millennium . Air from the Old Millennium has been exhibited at the Danish Cultural Institute in Hungary and China. And Chinese artists have also made etiquettes for cans sealed in 2006, and as the exhibition travels, it will grow, when more local artists will be invited to create new etiquettes.
